To view your data in the Integrated Genome Browser:

  1. Start the most recent version of IGB.
    1. If you do not have IGB installed, download it from bioviz.org and install it on your computer.
  2. Click the View in IGB button in BioViz Connect

The ‘View in IGB’ button will appear next to the name of file types supported by IGB. Clicking this button will trigger BioViz Connect to look for IGB running on your computer. If it is not running you will see a pop-up prompting you to manually start IGB or to click the ‘download’ button and install IGB on your computer if you do not have it already.

BioViz Connect uses the public link to access and open the file.

BioViz Connect will send your file and its attached metadata to IGB. The program will open the file and switch to the appropriate genome if this information is included in the metadata.

For a full list of the file types that can be viewed in IGB, please refer to https://wiki.bioviz.org/confluence/display/igbman/File+Formats
