Introduction

You can use file hosting service Dropbox to share IGB Quickload sites with colleagues. To use Dropbox as a QuickLoad site:

1) Create QuickLoad folders and files as described in Sharing data using QuickLoad sites. Before moving your new site to your Dropbox, ensure that your Quickload works correctly by adding it as a data source on your local machine.

2) Copy your QuickLoad folder into your Public Dropbox folder.

3) Open the QuickLoad folder and select the contents.txt file. (You should then see an option to Copy public link...)

4) Select Copy public link… and then select Copy to Clipboard.

5) Now open IGB and click Configure under the Data Access tab in the bottom left corner of IGB,

This will open the Data Sources tab within IGB Preferences.

6) Click the Add… button and enter:

IMPORTANT: remove the "contents.txt" from the end of the public link.

7) Enter Submit.

You should see a message stating your data are now available.

8) If you added a new species and genome, then these should now be available in the Species Menu. If not, then select your species from the IGB Start screen or from the Species and Genome Version menus. Your new QuickLoad data source should be listed in the Available Data section of the Data Access tab.
