Introduction

SVG files will sometimes include vectors outside of the selected image area in the save file. To crop the unnecessary information outside of IGB, use vector graphic editing software such as Adobe Illustrator (premium) or Inkscape (free).

Editing SVG files exported from IGB

• Within Adobe Illustrator
  1. Load SVG file (click OK if you receive the message: Clipping will be lost on roundtrip to Tiny).
  2. Select the Rectangle Tool.
  3. Place a rectangle over the part of the image you wish to use.
  4. Change the Opacity to 0%.
  5. Select the Selection Tool.
  6. Highlight both the rectangle and the image.
  7. Go to Object > Clipping Mask > Make.

• Within Inkscape
  1. Load SVG file.
  2. Select the Create rectangles and squares tool.
  3. Place a rectangle over the part of the image you wish to use.
  4. Under the Fill and Stroke tab, change Opacity to 0%.
  5. Select the Select and transform objects tool.
  6. Highlight both the rectangle and the image.
  7. Go to Object > Clip > Set
