Preferences

IGB is well-known for the high degree of flexibility it offers users to fine-tune IGB behavior. For example, you can set up keyboard shortcuts that control a variety of different IGB functions, and IGB will remember these settings from session to session. Also, when you re-launch IGB, it will remember the genome you were looking at previously.

This page and its child pages will describe the Preferences, how users can export and import Preferences, and will link to the larger topic of configuring tracks and configuring data sources.

Most customization options are available via the Preferences window which contains several tabbed panels devoted to different types of preferences.

To open the Preferences window

• Choose File > Preferences or
• Click the Preferences shortcut icon in the Toolbar
