iPlant Atmosphere offers a nifty way you can run IGB on a virtual machine hosted at iPlant. To make this image, I logged into iPlant, requested a new virtual machine, and then used VNC Viewer to log into the new VM virtual machine instance. From there, I just I downloaded and launch IGB launched IGB from http://bioviz.org/igb
just as I would do on my local machinedesktop or laptop computer. What's great about this is that now I can use IGB to access files I make 've made in the iPlant DE or just Discovery Environment or files I've made by running tools software running on the VM , which is Unixitself. And I can also load data from the IGBQuickLoad site in the usual way, letting me compare my results to publicly available data sets, like the one shown below. The data sets shown here come from an RNASeq experiment hosted on the from the Loraine lab that we deployed the the publicly-accessible IGBQuickLoad site at UNC Charlotte.
